He also opens up the meaning of poetry and parables in Scripture, revealing the deep connection between literature and theology.
Dr. Van Engen is Stanley Elkin Professor in the Humanities, Chair of the English Department, and Professor of Religion and Politics (by courtesy) at Washington University in St. Louis.
